The 18th annual Women’s Equality Day will be celebrated with a panel discussion at noon Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020 which will be broadcast live on Facebook from noon to 1 p.m .
The discussion will not only celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and women’s right to vote, but also ask “What’s Next?” for women to achieve equality.
The luncheon will return on Thursday, August 26, 2021 with guest speaker Mae Carol Jemison, the first person of color to travel and walk in space. Jemison, an astronaut, engineer and physician, has gone on the lead 100 Year Starship, which is harnessing worldwide culture, intelligence and financial support to create a structure that insures space travel to a star within the next 100 years.
We are also excited that two new winners of the Albion Fellows Bacon Award will be presented at that luncheon. Please nominate an Unsung Hero and/or Inspirational Leader for Albion Fellows Bacon awards: Click Here.
